Johnny Wigwag & The Truthseekers is a band of a thousand influences. The group – founded on country, blues, rockabilly, folk, Tex-Mex, rock-roll, bluegrass and more – rose out of the desert southwest via the great Midwest, Texas and southern California.
The band – led by the enigmatic and sometimes curious Johnny Wigwag – released its debut album Nov. 11, 2025. “Heart Full of Soul” features 17 tracks, including six covers and 11 original tunes. The CD is available on the shop page and a wide range of music platforms.
Numerous great musicians are featured on the album, including those whose credits range from Emmylou Harris, Patty Loveless and Bob Seger to Marty Stuart, Tracy Lawrence and more.
The title track “Heart Full of Soul” is a cover of the great Graham Gouldman song first released by The Yardbirds in 1965. It was the first track to feature a fuzz guitar thanks to the genius of Jeff Beck.
Johnny Wigwag & The Truthseekers released the song as a single across regular music platforms this month, with a companion music video on YouTube that you can check out below.
